SAP Consultant (FICO) - (3-years contract)

In this role, you will:

  • Develop financial accounting processes document, workflow map, user/role interaction maps & transition plan
  • Understand business processes, provide SAP knowledge on system processes in SAP for functionality and workflow mappings to SAP
  • Work with the Project Manager and Functional Leads and give testing input to the project plan for their functional area
  • Input into the Test Plans, scope, effort estimates and schedules for functional testing for each Test phase and release (Unit Tests review, System / System Integration Testing, UAT support)
  • Responsible for the production of effective test scripts to cover the functional requirements of the programme
  • Ensure adequate end-to-end test scripts are created and agreed by the Functional leads and business
  • Ability to prioritise tests based on business and technical criticality and ensure there is acceptable coverage
  • Ensure test scripting, test execution and test evidence is performed to best practice and agreed standards
  • Manage the scope and inputs into possible automation of test scripts that would make up part of the regression pack
  • Collect all testing outputs and ensure an up-to-date defect log is maintained throughout all testing activities
  • Participate and give inputs to all testing activities, quality gates (Entry and Exit criteria conformance; support Go / no-go decisions), documents (Test Plans, Schedules) and reports (Daily / weekly progress reports, Test phase exit reports) are in a regular and timely manner
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure all defects are fixed (by the relevant teams), tested and reported, and attend or give inputs into triage meetings. Ensure any blockers or issues are highlighted to the programme to ensure efficient resolution
  • Manage the timescales to ensure all users would deliver the activity for agreed projects and changes according to the agreed timescales
  • Ensure all solutions delivered should be to an agreed standard using agreed industry methodologies and have measurable benefits that can be tracked
  • Work to the documentation/agreed standards to successfully deliver the service. Ensure all processes and technical information to build and manage the application in a structured format
  • Ensure all work carried out is either within an agreed SLA or Project sanctioned by the PMO
  • Assist Senior Project Manager to impose quality management framework, standards and guidelines for system acceptance and to manage the quality of the entire testing cycle



Let us know more about yourself if you have:

  • Degree holder in Finance, Information Technology or relevant disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in SAP FICO projects implementation, managing project full testing cycle including integration test, UAT and regression test
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Able to write process flow diagram using MS Visio
  • Certified SAP FICO consultant would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cash and Treasury Management would be an advantage
  • Able to work under tight timeline, attentive to details, excellent follow-up skills
  • Good communication, organization and prioritization skills
